The Owner acquired Jaguar, Volvo and Aston-Martin dealerships with the goal
to construct a new sales and service facility which would provide brand identity
for each manufacturerÍs automobile, while creating a single, unified facility
design.
The building is situated on a major commercial highway and is located next to
another automobile dealership. A separate carwash building was included in
the plan with provisions for constructing a reconditioning shop.
The southern side of the building contains the Volvo dealership; the northern
is Jaguar and Aston-Martin. Each manufacturer has itÍs own design and
detailing for their showroom; Volvo has an angular design concept, while
Jaguar's is curvaceous. Sales and finance offices to the rear of each
showroom serve the dealerships. Separate drive-through customer service
canopies behind the sales area for each of the dealerships provide access to
parts and service areas on the main floor. Shared offices for service
representatives are located between the two customer service areas. A
lounge and retail display is provided at each dealership in the customer
service areas. Parts and service departments are located towards the rear of
the building on the main floor. The Owner's offices, parts storage and
employee areas are found on the upper floor.
Project Features:
The facility is a two-story, 60,700 square foot automobile
dealership.
The structure incorporates masonry bearing walls, structural
steel, precast concrete floors, and steel joist roof structure.
The exterior materials are integrally colored concrete masonry,
Alucobond fascia panels, and clear anodized aluminum
storefront systems.
Interior finishes include porcelain ceramic tile, sprayed-on
multicolor finish, vinyl wall covering, aluminum storefront
systems, and lay-in type ceiling systems.
A high degree of finish quality and detailing was provided for all
customer sales and service areas.
