John J. (Jack) Ross began practicing architecture as a sole proprietorship on March
13, 1964. Eight years later, Jack Ross was joined by John F. Schonder to form Ross
and Associates. In 1975, the firm became Ross and Schonder Architects.
In the next few years, Ralph J. Sterzinger and Stephen D. Cupcheck joined the
architectural staff at Ross and Schonder. Both became Principals, and the firm was
incorporated as Ross Schonder Sterzinger Cupcheck P.C. on July 1, 1988. In 1995 and
1996 respectively, Jack Ross and John Schonder retired, leaving Ralph and Steve as
Principals in the firm.
In 2004, Ronald S. Gigler was made a Principal in the firm, which became known
simply as RSSC Architecture.
Today, RSSC Architecture's staff consists of eight registered architects,
along with architectural and administrative support staff.
RSSC's commitment to long-term client satisfaction is reinforced by our low
personnel turnover and our pledge of personal attention to our clients and their projects.
Our high ratio of registered architects allows us to provide each project with the level of
attention that it deserves, from programming and conceptual design through occupancy.
Maintaining our excellent relationships with our clients has afforded us the opportunity to
enjoy a large amount of repeat business and referrals.
