Seven Oaks Country Club, located in a rural area ten miles west of Beaver, Pennsylvania, needed
substantial expansion to accommodate growing membership and to serve as a clubhouse that would
complement its reputable golf course.
The program that was generated included multiple, tiered member dining rooms, new kitchen facilities,
a Pro Shop, Men's Grille, and a multi-purpose reception room. The total additions amounted to over 17,000
square feet and another 6,500 square feet were part of interior renovations.
The goal of this design was to create compatible additions on each end of the building while enhancing
the rather mundane elevation that presented itself to the visitor approach.
Challenging circulation requirements were met to separate delivery and serving paths from those of the
members by creating a glass enclosed concourse across the rear of the building that overlooked the golf
course.
The resultant design created many functional and upscale spaces enclosed in a cedar siding and
natural stone envelope that sits prominently on its site of golf greens and oak trees.
