Karndean Designflooring is one of the world’s most renowned and respected luxury flooring companies, supplying flooring to homes and businesses. Since established nearly 40 years ago in the United Kingdom, Karndean now employees over 300 people worldwide.

In 2004, RSSC Architecture was contracted by Karndean to design and build their new United States facility.

Export, Pennsylvania was the chosen site for the new Karndean office/distribution center, and the Bushy Run Corporate Park became the buildings new surroundings. The location includes 7,666 square feet of office space and over 25,000 square feet of high-bay warehouse space.  The central design feature of the building is a two-story showroom with a curved curtain wall exterior. The finishes of the showroom are designed to showcase the various products Karndean offers.

Since the initial building project, RSSC Architecture has been back to assist in two renovation projects and is currently working with Karndean on a significant expansion.

One of our Architects, Jim Roos, was featured in a Karndean Designflooring publication as part of an Eneref Institute initiative for designing the new warehouse facility, along with a team of engineers!
