Ross Schonder Sterzinger Cupcheck designed and constructed the "new"
Cranberry Township Library in 1991. The 11,000 square foot library occupied
a portion of the 64,000 square foot municipal center also designed by RSSC.
In 1999 the library board asked RSSC to assist them in planning for space
needed to meet the needs of the growing children's library and other additional
programs.
The result of the study was to construct a 4,300 square foot addition and
relocate the children's library into the new area. The vacated space then became
renovated into the young adult lounge, a study room and an increased reference
and computer center. Other renovations were also planned for the staff
workroom.
