In order to accommodate the needs of this fast-growing community, the
Township of Cranberry purchased the former Perry Forge Industrial
Building. The size of the facility enabled the Township to incorporate into it
all aspects of local government; administrative offices, police department,
library, county and state elected officials and sewer and water authority
offices.
In the design, RSSC retained the openness of the 20 foot high bays in
the common space to create a Municipal-Mall effect. Offices without
exterior windows have corridor windows overlooking the open mall areas.
Most of the existing exterior was rehabilitated for reuse with the addition of
a new canopy and tower at the main entrance.
