As the community has grown with additional roads, infrastructure,
housing and commercial development, so has the need to provide public
services to maintain the growing community. Cranberry Township’s
public works equipment and personnel were divided among several
buildings. By combining the Public Works Department with the Sewer
and Water Department and Traffic Division into one facility, the
Township is able to provide more efficient and higher quality services
to the public.
The facility provides space for storage of all the Township’s public
works vehicles, a maintenance area for vehicle repairs, a wash bay,
repair bay and a sign and signal shop for the traffic department,
sewage and water authority area, tool and general storage. Other
areas include employee locker room facilities, administrative offices
and training rooms for local, county and state wide training
sessions.
