The additions and renovations to Shaler Township’s Municipal Building provided for the
growing need for additional spaces for the police, NEWCOM 911 Center and a new, bright
and airy, public entry to the building. The project was completed in two phases, with the
new entry addition and police expansion as Phase I and the NEWCOM 911 Center as
Phase II. The communications center initially installed five communications consoles and
allows for future expansion. Also, the center provides a training/meeting room for a disaster
relief center.
