Landmark Two Office Building was the second structure designed and master planned for
a five-acre site located in the heart of the Cranberry Township business area. The three story,
30,000 square foot facility occupied the most prominent and largest area in the office
complex.
The directive from the Owner was to create a speculative office building that had unique
design features, an upscale, glass enclosed lobby, and still maximized the ratio of tenant to
common areas. All of these requirements had to be incorporated under a strict construction
budget with a design that was compatible with the first building.
The unique feature of this building was an exposed structural steel framework at the corners
and projecting lobby which punctured the basic rectangular box of synthetic stucco and ribbon
windows. The inviting lobby had direct access to tenant corridors and provided natural light well
into the heart of the corridor areas.
This successful design was built within the tight budget guidelines and achieved nearly
maximum rentable floor space. The building's exterior components were also detailed to avoid
streaking and premature building aging that is common with the utilization of these standard
building materials.
