Ronald S. Gigler attended The Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor
of Architecture Degree in May of 1987.
Originally from the Hudson Valley Region of New York, Ron moved to the Pittsburgh
area in 1987 and joined the firm of Ross and Schonder as an entry level architectural
intern, and in 1997 became an associate of the firm. In March of 2004, Ron became a
Principal RSSC. Prior to joining RSSC Architects, Ron worked for one year at Warner
Associates in State College, Pennsylvania.
Ron received his architectural registration in 1992 and is currently registered in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Ron is an active member of the American Institute of
Architects (AIA), the Pennsylvania AIA, Building Officials and Code Administrators and
has participated in local volunteer efforts such as Christmas in April in renovating
homes for the disabled. He is also a member of the Cranberry Township Sunrise
Rotary Club, currently serving as the secretary.
Having gained experience in a variety of building types, some of the projects Ron
has successfully completed as Project Architect include Memorial Park Presbyterian
Church additions and renovations, John McMillan Presbyterian Church additions, Our
Redeemer Lutheran Church additions and renovations, The Greenery Skilled Nursing
Facility additions, and the Pine Center II and III office buildings. In addition, Ron has
also coordinated and oversaw the construction documents and construction of
numerous new restaurants and renovations to existing Eat'n Park Restaurants.
