Since the completion of a master plan study in 1992 for expanding the facility to
provide much needed educational, recreational, family life and worship space, RSSC has
provided architectural consulting services for the design and construction of four phases
of construction over an eleven-year span.
The first phase of construction included over 15,000 square feet of new facility with
eighteen new flexible classrooms designed to accommodate the large preschool and
childcare programs on the weekdays and children's Christian education on the
weekends.
The second phase of construction was a second floor addition over the first phase
that provided a new multi-purpose Christian life facility with recreation, dining, drama and
contemporary worship space.
The third phase of construction provided additions and renovations to the sanctuary
that included a larger, flexible chancel area, new natural and artificial lighting, new finishes
and furniture, and seating capacity increased from 320 to 420.
The fourth phase renovated the former multi-purpose room and administrative area
into a new open office administrative space with a large work room and adult meeting /
counseling rooms.
